Membership & Program Coordinator

Position Title: Membership & Program Coordinator

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote

Reports to: Director of Membership & Programs

Expected: Full-time, exempt (40hrs/week)

Compensation: $60,000 – $65,000 annually, plus competitive health and retirement benefits

The Teaching Kitchen Collaborative (TKC) is excited to expand our team with a Membership & Program Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in supporting our growing international network of teaching kitchen programs and professionals. In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, you’ll engage with field leaders, manage essential membership functions, and contribute to a variety of impactful programs and operations. Essential Functions

Membership Support & Engagement

  • Implement recruitment and engagement strategies to attract and retain members.
  • Facilitate original content development and maintenance of TKC resources.
  • Assist membership committees and interest groups with scheduling meetings, note-taking, posting materials to the member portal, and other project-based support.
  • Lead and analyze member surveys to gather actionable insights.
  • Support general membership operations including renewals, onboarding, database management, and tracking member participation and engagement.

Program Support

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of 10-12 annual webinars, including topic and speaker identification, managing continuing education applications, analyzing data on attendance and sales, reviewing attendee feedback, and uploading recordings.
  • Provide logistical support for virtual membership events, such as networking sessions and orientation webinars.
  • Assist with planning and organizing the annual Teaching Kitchen Symposium and Organization Members Meeting (Santa Cruz, CA, December 9-12, 2025).

Operations Support

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on monthly financial reporting, member invoicing, and other general administrative duties.
  • Manage the TKC info@ email account, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and forwarding urgent matters to the appropriate team member.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal Membership & Program Coordinator will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. You’ll have a high emotional intelligence, a knack for data management and analysis, and a background in customer service or relationship management. Experience in food systems, culinary arts, public health, education, or healthcare is highly desirable.You’ll be traveling at least once per year to the TKC’s Symposium and Annual Meeting (December 9-12 in Santa Cruz, CA)

Core Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to execute tasks efficiently and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and using databases for tracking and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications and/or degrees in related fields (e.g., RD, MS, MPH, Chef).
  • At least two years of experience in membership services or program coordination.

Compensation, Benefits & Work Environment

Annual salary for this position is $60,000-$65,000, depending on experience. The TKC offers health and dental insurance, as well as basic life insurance and retirement benefits. Full-time employees are entitled to three weeks of PTO annually, in addition to 11 paid holidays.

Standard working hours are 9 AM – 5 PM EST, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility required for meetings or events outside of regular hours depending on time zones.
